Conserving & Cleaning the Walls

Funds are now being sought for the conservation and cleaning of the interior walls of the church, in the Nave (the main centre of the church) and the Chantry Chapel. We are seeking to raise £40,000 to complete this work and hope to raise a good proportion of the money needed through local donations.

We are mainly seeking donations in multiples of £50.  £50 cleans and conserves approximately 1 square metre of wall and a chart showing progress is displayed in the church.

You can make a donation without giving your name, but the names of donors will be retained and placed in our appeal register. You might also like to dedicate your donation in the name of a loved one or in their memory

Whatever you give will leave a lasting asset to the community and the church.

Conservators have already done some test patches on the walls and have shown what could be achieved.
