Over the summer, a group of conservators from the Arts Society Severn Valley Heritage Volunteers have been working on the Seymour cloth, one of St Mary’s prized treasures. It is over 300 years old and was gifted to the church by Col John Seymour, later Governor of Maryland. The work was slow and extensive, but now it is complete.
St Mary’s Church is most grateful to the volunteers who gave their time to this project and have ensured this old and valued part of St Mary’s history has been repaired and conserved for future generations.
