Standing Committee

The standing committee is a standard element for all PPCs and can take urgent decisions on behalf of the PCC. Under our committee structure it also operates as an oversight board to assist the work of the PCC to provide the assurance that matters are being effectively addressed.

What it covers

Finance: Finance and audit of all church accounts

Compliance & Policy: Charity Reporting, Inventory and Logbooks

Assurance: Safeguarding management, Health & safety (inc First Aid), Copyright, licencing etc, Insurances, Data management, IT, Quinquennial, Terrier, Faculties

General Administration: Benefice Administrator Calendar, correspondence, fees and payments

Simon Harris (Churchwarden) – Chair: John Bennetts (Treasurer) , Jim Heavens (Charity Chair), Richard Humphrey  (Incumbent), Alison Wride.(PCC Secretary)

If acting as Standing Committee must include (when in post) Incumbent, Churchwardens, Treasurer, PCC Secretary, PCC Vice Chair.

Meetings

May convene at any time.  Regularly meets between PCC meetings
